Kindness Project 2024: UpLifting the Community for Hurricane Helene Relief
At UpLift Dispensaries, we believe in the power of kindness and the difference we can make when we come together as a community. This year, our Kindness Project 2024 was made possible through a wonderful collaboration with the EmPath For Autism Foundation and Mark Williams Auto Group. Together, we launched a disaster relief initiative to support the families affected by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina, and the overwhelming response from our community was nothing short of inspiring.
Rallying for Relief: Collecting Supplies for North Carolina
In the wake of Hurricane Helene, many communities, especially in Hendersonville, NC, were left in desperate need of basic necessities. Families were struggling with a lack of food, clean water, clothing, and hygiene products, and we knew we had to do our part to help.
The Kindness Project 2024 was our way of answering that call. Alongside EmPath For Autism Foundation and Mark Williams Auto Group, we set up donation drop-off locations at our dispensaries. The generosity of our community members was truly incredible. One of the highlights of this effort came from the Tri-State Mustang/Ford Club of Greater Cincinnati, who contributed over $1,000 worth of supplies. Their support played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the relief drive.
Support from Every Corner: Financial Contributions and Donation Opportunities
In addition to collecting physical donations, we provided the opportunity for financial contributions. For those who couldn’t donate supplies but still wanted to help, we encouraged financial support for the Hendersonville, NC Government’s Hurricane Helene Relief Fund. This ensured that the funds would go directly to those most in need, helping them with recovery and rebuilding efforts.
The response was remarkable. Volunteers from UpLift Dispensaries, EmPath For Autism Foundation, and Mark Williams Auto Group all came together to sort, pack, and load the donations onto a truck. This collaborative effort showed just how much can be achieved when everyone works toward a shared goal.
Delivering Relief: Bringing Hope to North Carolina
With the truck packed and ready, the next step was delivering the supplies to Hendersonville, where they were distributed directly to the families who had been impacted by the hurricane. It was a moving experience to see the relief on people’s faces as they received the much-needed goods. This moment truly highlighted the power of compassion and the profound difference that can be made when we come together in times of need.
A Heartfelt Thank You to All Who Contributed
We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who helped make Kindness Project 2024 a success. Special thanks to EmPath For Autism Foundation and Mark Williams Auto Group for their unwavering support in making this effort possible. We also extend our appreciation to the Tri-State Mustang/Ford Club of Greater Cincinnati for their generous donation, and to everyone who donated, volunteered, and spread the word about the cause.
At UpLift Dispensaries, we’re proud to be part of a community that embraces kindness and comes together to help those in distress. We look forward to continuing this work through future initiatives that uplift and support people in need.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
